DIY 3D Wall Art
Ack! I am so excited! I no longer have a giant blank wall yelling at me to fill it up with awesomeness. I think this is probably my favorite DIY wall art I have done in a long time. Who doesn’t love DIY 3D Wall art? I used the same painting process as I did in my DIY Ombre wall art, but instead of gradually adding lighter paint to the mix, I just went crazy and dipped a damp paint brush into multiple colors and went to town. For this one I used a medium shade of grey, a light blue and metallic silver! To give it a little bit extra before I started painting, I laid out my 3D flowers on my canvas and used some school glue to draw on some vines.
I allowed the glue to dry and then went to town with the paint. The great thing is if you do not like the way it looks, just keep adding layers of paint until you are happy!
For the flowers I used my Silhouette machine to cut out two different types in varying sizes. If you don’t have a machine, you can find fabric flowers at the Dollar Store to use, the possibilities are really endless with this project! After the paint was dry, I just used some tacky glue to add a little bling to the center of each flower and glued them to the canvas.
My inspiration for most of my wall art projects for my office makeover has been a pack of scrapbook paper I picked up on clearance. I used paper from the same pack to do my Vertical wall hanging too. I just can’t wait to show you how the entire room came together! I am super excited to have a pretty and functional office again!
