DIY Pokemon Table!
I have been on a organizational rampage this month. I cleaned out the garage, and now I am working on the kiddos rooms. The boy was in desperate need of a new desk! I was lucky enough to find an old school desk at a yard sale for $10. The top was in need of refinishing, so I decided to make a DIY Pokemon Table.
I left the bottom as it was because there are a lot of neat notes written on the inside and around the edges (some dated from the early 1960’s!) and I could not bring myself to cover them up. It is really hard to pick up on camera, but the Charizard image actually has a 3D look to it because it is set up away from the background!
This is the before image of the desk, nothing to write home about, but I love the cubby for storage. You are not limited to doing this process on a table though! I also created some fun 3D art for the walls in my office using this same technique!
If you do plan on doing this on a table, be sure to sand and prime the surface!
For this project you will need the following:
- Acrylic Paint in your color choice
- Epoxy Resin
- Sticker or Decal of choice
- Mixing Cups
- Water
- Paint Brush or mixing sticks
- Heat source to pop bubbles – I used a butane torch, but a blow dryer or lighter will work fine.

I absolutly LOVE how this table turned out! Next I plan on making a Tardis on a galaxy background! Be sure to check out our other Nerdy Crafts or follow us on Pinterest for more fun projects!
