DIY Unicorn Wax Melts | DIY Cotton Candy Wax Melts
I have done some fun Unicorn themed DIY projects in the past, one being these cute Unicorn Poop Candles, but this project has to be my favorite. Not only is it super easy to make, they smell so good! Plus, these DIY Unicorn Wax Melts only take a few things to make, and would make a great gift for a unicorn lover!
You can of course use any fragrance and colors that you want, but I went with a pink, purple, and blue theme. I also used a delicious cotton candy scent, which makes my whole office smell yummy!
For this project you will need:
- Candle Wax FlakesĀ
- Crayons
- Fragrance Oil (I used Cotton Candy from this set)
- Optional: Wilton Candy Melter
Directions
Either in a double boiler or candy melting pot melt your wax down until liquid. I like using the candy melter because it is easy to clean and melts the wax quicker.
Once melted, mix in 10-20 drops of fragrance oil and mix well. If you want a stronger scent, you can add up to 30 drops.
Divide your melted wax into 3 containers and add a few shavings of your crayon, or a few drops of wax colorant and mix well.
Slowly start pouring your melted wax onto your surface, alternating colors so that they swirl into each other. Reserve half of your wax from each color.
Allow wax to harden completely at room temperature.
Pour remaining wax over the first layer, swirling the colors together.
Allow to cool completely.
Once cooled, remove from cooling surface and carefully break apart the wax into small pieces that will fit into your wax warmer.
To Use:
Add a few pieces to your wax warmer and allow the scent to fill the room! Store remaining wax in an air tight container until ready to use.
