Get Your Children Reading This Summer with Disney Story Central!
With summer here, the last thing my kids have on their minds is reading. With The Boy going into Kindergarten next year and The Girl heading into Middle School, finding ways for them to read over the summer is a high priority. Not only do I want them to have fun reading, I NEED it to be something they can do while we are away from home.
Disney Story Central fits everything I am looking for! It has all of my kids favorite characters in easy to access books. What I love most is that my youngest can have the option to have the story read to him, since he is still new to reading, this has helped him tremendously!
Disney Story Central is the largest collection of Disney digital stories, featuring a wide array of Disney stories and characters that kids and families know and love. The cross-platform experience is available via iPhone and iPad app, tablet-optimized website and Video on Demand (AT&T U-Verse). This makes taking their favorite books with them no matter where we go. They no longer can use the excuse that they forgot their book when we are on vacation!
The boy’s favorite thing is that he can choose books that have his favorite characters in them. Of course, he went straight for the Big Hero 6 Books and Cars.
There are two ways you can join the Disney Story Central library. You can choose books A La Carte by purchasing tokens that the kids can use as money to buy their own books, or you can choose the subscription service which gives you unlimited access to the library for only $7.99 a month.
Between June 11th and August 13th you can even participate in Disney Story Central’s ‘Mid-Summer Light Reads’ Campaign – promoting weekly Disney reading themes — for a chance to unlock free books and enter the sweepstakes!
You can easily join the Disney Story Central Library by heading over to the website or downloading the app to your iPhone or iPad.
How do you get your kids to read over the Summer months?
